A German black-and-white infantry burgonet,early 17th century formed in two pieces drawn-up to a cabled narrow comb, embossed with a large fleur-de-lys on both sides of the skull, drawn-out at the front to form a pointed up-turned peak and a short neck-guard at the rear, with a row of lining rivets on brass rosette washers, and indented turned edges (cheek-pieces missing); a North German Burgonet, late 16th century, with a two-piece skull and decorated with incised triple-line bands throughout (cheek-pieces missing, rust holes and rust patination); and a German mitten gauntlet, mid-16th century, in excavated condition (lames detached) the first: 26.6cm; 10.5 in high (4)
