Online Bidding

Shouler and Son offers an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale.

In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your debit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Shouler and Son:

1.authorise Shouler and Son, if they so wish, to charge the debit card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the auction via the-saleroom.com, and

2. confirm that you are authorised to provide these debit card details to Shouler and Son  through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Shouler and Son  are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.

Please note that any lots purchased via the-saleroom.com live auction service will be subject to an additional 3% commission charge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price

Buyers Premium and VAT

a.The buyer must pay to us, a buyer's premium of 15% (together with VAT thereon) in addition to the hammer price, unless otherwise announced.
b.When announced VAT is payable on the goods in addition to the hammer price.
c.The hammer price means the price at which the lot is knocked down to the buyer.
d.All references to purchase price elsewhere in these conditions are deemed to include any Buyer's Premium and Value Added Tax.

Postage & Packing is not provided by Shouler & Son.

It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to arrange collection of all items purchased within 7 days of the auction date.  Failure to do so may incur storage charges at our discretion.
