A Meiji period Japanese bronze plaque with shibayama and silver inlay decoration depicting Kannon riding on the back of large carp on a frothing sea flanked by two oni, one holding a staff with a gourd and lilies, theother with a tied sack within a border of vignettes on a diaper ground gilt edged rim, signed Ikodo Miyabe Tokuyoshi Ishin and on three bun feet, 48.5cm diameter
