An extremely rare 18th century Staffordshire equestrian figure modelled as St George seated facing half right wearing armour and plumed helmet, his left arm looped through the horse's reins, behind him seats a rescued maiden, she is wearing a green jacket, brown and ochre lined hemmed dress and a brown and blue ribboned bonnet, below lies the slain green and brown dragon on oval raised rock work base height 11.5ins, N.B. known examples are without the maiden
