Bids are increased by increments at the auctioneer's discretion.  It is important to keep your bidding number, as this will be your reference for payment.

Antiques Auctions generally take place every Thursday from 10am in our Montgomery Street saleroom. Viewing is on on Wednesday from 9am - 5pm and the day of sale. We have a cafe in the building where you can enjoy a nice lunch or coffee and scone.

Absentee Bidding

Written Bids:
If you are unable to attend an auction, Ross's can bid on your behalf. In order to absentee bid you can either fill out an electronic absentee bidding form available by clicking the 'absentee bid' button on any lot's page.

Telephone Bids: This may be arranged on lots with a minimum estimate of £400. As the number of telephone lines are limited, early booking is essential. Please contact the office to reserve a line on 028 9032 5448. Ross's staff will telephone you in advance of the lot going under the hammer.

We provide a video stream of the auction with audio. There will be a 3% charge on the hammer price for all purchases made through the live bidding medium.

Buyers Premium: The buyer shall pay the auctioneer a commission of 20% of the hammer price. VAT is payable on the commission at the prevailing rate.

Our payment terms are cash, bankers draft, credit or debit card.  Cheques should be guaranteed to the satisfaction of the auctioneers prior to sale.  Credit cards are subject to a surcharge of 2%.
