An extensive French porcelain dinner service, probably Limoges, late 19th / early 20th century, retailed by Aux Lions de Faience, 90 Rue de Rivoli, Paris, each bearing black printed stamps to underside, decorated with lavender cornflowers and gilt rims, comprising: a large tureen and cover 23cm high, 25.5cm long; a smaller similar tureen and cover; a large rectangular deep dish 25 x 24cm at rim, 10cm high; three pairs of large circular platters, the largest 33cm diameter; two pairs of rectangular trays, the largest 41cm long; two tazza, 22cm diameter, 11cm high; three footed plates, 23cm diameter, 5.5cm high; two sauce boats with fixed stands 24cm long; four trays 24cm long; twenty-six dinner plates 25cm diameter; nineteen soup bowls 24.5cm diameter; and thirty-six salad plates 21.5cm diameter (lot)Condition Report: Overall the service is in good decorative order with wear to gilding around the rims and some minor scratches to the porcelain. Damages are as follows: the smaller tureen with a section of the rim broken off and repaired with further hairline cracks and impact points; a large chip to the rim of the saucer attached to the sauce boat; a small chip to one rectangular dish; a small chip to one footed tazza; two large circular dishes with repairs and chip to the rim; further minor flat chips to the rims of a further six plates and bowls.
