A MID 18TH CENTURY BLACK & GOLD LACQUERED LONGCASE CLOCK, with two train movement, the broken arch brass dial with a central gilt metal statuette of Perseus in a concave niche within the arch, flanked by quadrant panels and inscribed "George Neale Gloucester", the other with Strike/Silent with mask and foliate scroll spandrels, the chapter ring with roman hour and arabic minute numerals, the centre with second dial and calendar aperture, the rectangular domed hood with blind fret decoration and angle pillars, the sides with glass panels, the trunk with long arched door decorated with chinoiserie scene, the base similarly decorated, on ogee bracket feet, the sides painted to simulate lacquering. Dial Width 12". Width 13.5". Height 96".
