GENERAL SALE INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS

600 Lots

BUYERS PREMIUM :- 15% plus VAT will be added to all lots with No Exceptions.

ON-LINE BIDDING (i-bidder.com)  An additional 3% plus VAT surcharge is added to the hammer price for successful bids made on-line through i-bidder.com

VAT at the current rate is payable on the Buyers Premium Only. 

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS TO THE SALE

The Auction Sale will be conducted within the premises of Lamb & Gardiner Garage, Union Street, Coupar Angus, Perthshire, PH13 9AF.

The sale will be signposted on the viewing and sale day.

CAR PARKING Car Parking will be available onsite.  Please park considerately and with care.

 DESCRIPTIONS.  The auctioneer undertakes that care has been taken that catalogue descriptions are reasonably accurate and reliable but these are necessarily matters of opinion only and shall not be taken to be statements of facts.

Neither the seller nor the auctioneer is responsible for the correctness of any description of any lot or its attribution in any manner to any particular origination.

All purchasers or their agents shall satisfy themselves to all lots and descriptions prior to the commencement of the Auction Sale.

AUCTION CONDITIONS The attention of Purchasers is drawn to the Conditions of Sale included in the catalogue.

COMMISSION BIDS.  The auctioneers will be pleased to execute commissions for those unable to attend the sale.  Please contact us with your bids.

Bids or enquiries sent by e-mail should arrive not later than 3pm on the day prior to the sale.

REMOVAL OF LOTS All lots must be paid for on the day of sale and all lots must be removed within 7 days.  Should this not be possible please contact the auctioneer Graham on Tel 07547 369 295 to arrange collection.

SHIPPING/DELIVERY.  To obtain a quote for delivery please e-mail at least 24 hours prior to the Auction Sale where an appropriate cost can be given but the exact costing’s will only be available post sale after all packing has been taken into account.  All Postage costs are calculated without Insurance - If you wish Insurance please advise immediately after the sale has finished.

RISK  The Bidder is on risk once the hammer falls and is strongly advised to effect insurance at once.

All lots are sold strictly as seen and without warranty, purchasers are urged to satisfy themselves prior to the sale as to the condition of each lot and whether the lots match with its description.

TRANSFER OF LOTS The Auctioneer will only accept payment from and permit removal of lots purchased by the Purchasers successfully bidding at the sale or his Agents.

BUYER’S BID NUMBERS The Auctioneer will operate a buyer bid number system.  Purchasers are, therefore, requested to attend at the Sales Office during Viewing Day or prior to the commencement of the Sale, so that full details of the intending Purchaser’s name, address, bankers and other relevant information may be recorded, please bring a method of identification.  You will then be given a bidding number. Failure to obtain a buyer’s bid number may result in the Auctioneer refusing to accept your bid.  If you have a  Bidding Number from a previous Pentland Livestock Ltd Auction please use this.

MONEY LAUNDERING REGULATIONS 2003 In order to comply with these regulations, we are no longer able to accept cash payment for sums in excess of £7,500.  This includes single payments amounting to this sum or multiple payments totalling £7,500

METHOD OF PAYMENT

PAYMENT ON DAY OF SALE All lots must be paid for on the day of sale by Cash, Card, BACS or Cheque.  Purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make one of the following arrangements BEFORE the day of sale.

 1.Arrange with your Bank Manager for the issue of a guaranteed cheque to be brought with you.

 2.Provide a letter from your Bank stating the amount up to which your cheque will be honoured.  Fax copies and photocopies are NOT acceptable and the letter must specify the sale and date.

5.Payment can be made by Visa & Mastercard Credit Cards; a surcharge of 2.5% plus VAT will be added to the invoice total for this method of payment.  We also accept payment by Switch/Maestro or Visa/Delta Debit Cards for which there is a 40p additional charge.
