SIX PIECES OF MEASHAM POTTERY to include a set of THREE GRADUATED JUGS of dark brown bark effect overlaid with impressed polychrome floral and basket motifs and impressed inscription in typical blue lettering "Jane Anderson Welcome Home 1888". Heights: 20.5cm, 18.5cm, 16.5cm. Also, TWO MUGS, the plain dark brown glazed body having similar decoration and inscribed "John Anderson Welcome Home 1888", 10.8cm high, and a TEAPOT having similar decoration and inscription, 17cm high. (6) *** MEASHAM POTTERY is also known as Canal Boat Ware and was sold in a shop close to the Asby-de-la-Zouche canal, produced from c.1880 to 1920's.
