Waterloo 1815 (Daniel Milton, 2nd Batt. 95th Reg. Foot.) fitted with replacement silver clip and straight bar suspension, some minor bruises, otherwise good very fine £2,800-£3,400

Daniel Milton was born at Exeter, Devon, and enlisted into the Rifle Brigade, at Hilsea, Hampshire, from the Prince of Wales Own Fencibles, on 13 March 1801, aged 21 years, a baker by trade. He transferred to the 2nd Battalion in June 1805 and served with the expedition to South America 1806-07. He afterwards served in Spain in 1809 including the action at Vimiera and Corunna, and again in Spain and France from about May 1812 to September 1813, where he took part in the battles of Salamanca, Vittoria, Orthes and Toulouse, although the musters covering the last two actions suggest that he was stationed at Dover. He returned to France for the campaign of 1815 including the battle of Waterloo, where he served in Captain Le Blanc’s company. He served in France with the Army of Occupation until 24 July 1818, when he was invalided home from Valenciennes and discharged on 15 September 1818, in consequence of being ‘old, worn out and chronic rheumatism which commenced in France in the winter of 1815.’ Daniel Milton lived to claim the M.G.S. with 6 clasps for Vimiera, Corunna, Salamanca, Vittoria, Orthes and Toulouse, but this is not known to have survived.

Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
