Arthur William Lowen was born at Theydon Garnon, Essex, on 27 April 1862 and attested for the 19th Regiment of Foot as a Musician on 27 April 1876. Promoted Corporal on 16 October 1880, and Sergeant on 12 June 1884, he served with the 1st Battalion overseas in Egypt from 2 September 1884 to 31 January 1888, where he was present with the Expeditionary Force at the Battle of Giniss; in Cyprus from 1 February 1888 to 28 July 1889; and in Egypt from 29 July to 23 September 1889. Advanced Colour Sergeant on 6 November 1891, he was discharged on 26 April 1897 after 21 years’ service. He did not receive a Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. He died in Chelsea on 20 January 1907.

If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service provides parcel tracking (via the Royal Mail website) and next weekday delivery (betwen 9am and 1pm). Items delivered within the UK are covered by our insurance company. Heavy and bulky lots will be sent by courier, in discussion with the client.
Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
Shipping Exceptions
