Loiseau-Bailly, Georges-Philippe-Eugène (French, 1858-1913); b. Sauvigny-le-Bois FRANCE, Les Forgerons [The Blacksmiths], 1903, a silver plaque by G.-P.-E. Loiseau-Bailly for the Société des Amis de la Médaille française [issued 1904], team of ironworkers in a metal-works at Guérigny hammer links for a chain, rev. two protectively-masked ironworkers working a bellows and a hammer forge, edge impressed argent 91 and cornucopia, 80 x 50mm, 128.09g (Maier 22; ANS Exh. Cat. 1910, p.309, 23; Coll. R. Marx 112; BDM III, 456; cf. MDC 14, 799; cf. DNW 188, 819). Extremely fine and very rare; the last-numbered plaque of the issue £600-£800 --- Provenance: Bt A.C. Eimer. Edition of 91 in silver. Contemporary accounts suggest that the artist based the design on the a metal-works at Guérigny (dép. Nièvre)

If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
