Allen, West Riding Regiment, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 14 September 1916 British War and Victory Medals (18809 Pte. A. Allen. W. Rid. R.) some staining, very fine Pair: Private E. G. Williams, Wiltshire Regiment, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 24 March 1918 British War and Victory Medals (15033 Pte. E. G. Williams. Wilts. R.) some scratches, otherwise good very fine (6) £120-£160 --- Robert Henry Dobinson was born in Escombe, Bishop Auckland, County Durham and attested into the Yorkshire Regiment for service during the Great War. He served with the 6th Battalion at Gallipoli from 28 September 1915 and saw later service with the 9th Battalion on the Western Front, where he was killed in action on 14 August 1917. He is buried in Wimereux Communal Cemetery, France. Arthur Allen was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, and attested into the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry for service during the Great War. He transferred to the West Riding Regiment and served on the Western Front with the 9th Battalion, where he was killed in action on the Somme, on 4 September 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. Ernest George Williams was born in in Aston, Warwickshire and attested into the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry for service during the Great War. He transferred to the Wiltshire Regiment, serving on both the Western Front and in the Balkans theatre with the 7th Battalion. Returning to the Western Front with the 1st Battalion, he was killed in action on 24 March 1918. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

If you are successful in purchasing lot/s being auctioned by us and opt for the item/s to be sent to you, we will use the following methods of shipment:

Within the UK
If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service provides parcel tracking (via the Royal Mail website) and next weekday delivery (betwen 9am and 1pm). Items delivered within the UK are covered by our insurance company. Heavy and bulky lots will be sent by courier, in discussion with the client.

Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
