The Mackeson Gold Cup, in silver gilt and of Neo-Classical style, engraved with a steeple chaser and inscribed the date of the race, above chased and repousse stiff leaves and pomegranates, the border with oats, barley and hops, having two cast foliage decorated loop handles, on a knopped fan fluted decorated spreading circular foot and a conforming cover with a cast acanthus finial. 14in.
