Rock n Roll & Pop Music Best Songwriting Grammy From 2005 -- For Kanye West's Hit Song ''Diamonds From Sierra Leone'' Grammy award from 2005 won by Devon Harris, the co-songwriter of Kanye West's hit song ''Diamonds From Sierra Leone''. West and Harris took home the Grammy for best rap song at the ceremony held 8 February 2006 in Los Angeles. Heavy black and gold statue sits atop its black metal base, with a plaque reading, ''National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences / Devon Harris / Songwriter / Best Rap Song - 2005 / 'Diamonds From Sierra Leone' / (Kanye West)''. Affixed to the top of the base is the traditional gold plated metal representation of a gramophone associated with the iconic award ceremony. Weighs 5 lbs. 2 oz. Measures 6'' x 6'' x 9.5''. Slight chipping to the paint on the base, and one small turquoise stain to back right corner, not visible when displaying the trophy from the front. Very good to near fine condition.
