In this copy of ''I Had a Hammer - The Hank Aaron Story'', Aaron inscribes a note upon the front free endpaper, in full, ''11 April 1991 / For my sweethearts' husband, Ray: After reading this week, I can only concur with a recent Time Magazine essay by Barbara Ehrenreich entitled, 'Teach Diversity With a Smile'. An excerpt of which reads: 'Racist, ***, thoughts cannot, alas, be abolished by fiat, but only by the time-honored methods of persuasion, education and exposure to the other guy's point of view.'
