An Arts & Crafts copper circular tea caddy with lift off lid and embossed decoration 13.5 cm high x 13.5 cm diameter together with a further tea caddy of cylindrical form with riveted decoration and lift off lid inscribed "Reg T.MHSNO392921" to base 11 cm high x 9.5 cm diameter
CONDITION REPORTS
The larger pot with embossed decoration: the lid is a bit awkward to get on and off, it has to be just at the right place. Has remnants of cleaning fluid/solution, has wear to the risen areas of the decoration. The join of the metal on the base is slightly coming apart. The lid is misshapen. The finial is wonky. The smaller pot: finial is slightly off centre and tilted down. The pot itself has remnants of cleaning fluid and appears to have been polished a lot and possibly lacquered at some point. May have also been painted or had a finish at some point. The base has got the copper showing through but is a very different texture and colour to the top of the lid. Both have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratches, scuffs, knocks, bumps etc. In need of a good clean. See images for more detail
