A George III mahogany long case clock, the eight day movement with brass arched dial, the strike/silent dial over a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, enclosing a centre field with seconds' and date dials, inscribed "Bouffler London", 48 cm wide x 25 cm deep x 233 cm high

CONDITION REPORTS
The finial is missing from the top. Pendulum, two weights and key present. One piece of brass trim is off but present for the main body. Clock appears to have been re-varnished at some point. There are some heavy splits and general roughness to the case, especially the top of the hood. Areas of patching particularly noticeable on the left hand side of the door. Some splits within the figuring of the wood. There is a chunk missing from the back left hand side of the body. Base is split variously to the sides and large split across the front lower section. The columns on the hood are loose. The face has some yellow like drips, possibly varnish or suchlike as well as wear, surface scratches etc. The dial appears to have had two holes plugged. The big hand is broken and has been repaired. In need of a good clean. Wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details
