A WILLIAM III SILVER TOBACCO BOX AND COVER of moulded oval form, the cover engraved with contemporary armorials, 10 x 8cm, marked on box and cover, by Edmund Townsend, maker`s mark and lion`s head erased only, 5ozs 10dwts. The arms are those of Bray or Braye.

++ In very good condition and of fine colour. The thinest part of the rim of the cover with tiny loss at 6 o`clock. Consigned by executors and long in the ownership of late owner. This box is fully marked in addition to the marks referred to in the catalogue described the base is also full marked on the rim, London 169.
