An Omar Ramsden silver Holy Communion service, the chalice with hammer textured, tumbler shaped bowl with cut card base on hexagonal shaft with grapevine knop and flared sexfoil foot, the paten-cover engraved CHI RHO, Alpha and Omega, the wafer box applied with the sacred monogram encircled by thorns and with cable rim, chalice 18cm h, maker's mark, London 1925, each piece engraved OMAR RAMSDEN ME FECIT, 26ozs (3) The underside of the box is engraved I WAS WROUGHT FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD FOR USE IN THE CHAPEL OF TOWNSEND HOUSE BY DESIRE OF ELEANOR J CHUTE IN REMEMBRANCE OF MANY BLESSINGS WHILE PRESIDENT OF THE G.F.S. CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR SIXTEEN YEARS 1901-1916. ++The lot in excellent condition
