Mid Victorian Admiral Fitzroy's stick barometer, the instrument inscribed in the arch Admiral Fitzroy's Storm barometer in black on white, over Negretti & Zambra....and Holborn Viaduct E.C.....London, hand inscribed number 1254 and flanked with 'West' & 'Dry' thermometer gauges over twin brass adjusters and a further thermometer gauge, the base section with a silver cartouche inscribed Presented By William McClure Esq., chairman 1872, all contained in an oak case with hinged glazed door, the instrument 40 1/2in (102.2cm) high, 48in x 13 1/2in (122cm x 34.3cm) overall
