Unframed. Oil on canvas. 840mm x 590mm x 20mm

ARTIST STATEMENT: Now entering University, I've been frequently reminiscing about my childhood and all that in my life which can never be reclaimed. Having lived in the same place for the vast majority of my consciousness, the house I've grown up in makes up a large portion of my perceived universe making the thought of moving away being equivalent to the destruction of part of my world. As such, I created this painting to spend some final moments in appreciation of my home and to physically manifest a testimony to my youth. In producing the piece I was inspired by Monet and Renoir for the local significance of his work.
