A fine three piece Irish William IV silver tea service James Fray, Dublin 1831, comprising teapot, twin handled sugar basin and cream jug, of flattened circular form, each elaborately and finely repoussé decorated with flowers and foliage on a matted ground, centred by vacant cartouches, with foliate capped handles and everted foliate rims, the pedestal bases with floral borders, the teapot with rose finial, the spout decorated with an eagle and tipped with a serpent emerging from a bud, the teapot 11½in. (29.5cm.) long, weight 57.5oz. (3) .
