Description
A late Victorian silver presentation key Sheffield 1982, the shaped circular terminal with finely engraved borders, and shield shaped central cartouche with coat of arms on one side and presentation inscription to other, the four stage shaft with simple terminal. Notes: the key head engraved "Presented to Dr Copeland FRSE Astronomer Royal for Scotland by Mr Councillor Molyneux at the opening of Greg Observatory Lancaster 27th July 1892".
