PIERRE CARDIN - a 1960's futuristic ring and another ring by CLAUDE MOMIRON, the first silver ring signed P. CARDIN, with French control marks, also numbered 54, of oval outline inset to the front with a circular bright pink acrylic disc; the second silver ring signed indistinctly, with French control marks and numbered 2, of rounded rectangular outline, set to the front with a spherical hematite bead, measuring approximately 12mm diameter (2) French designer Claude Momiron established his Paris based gallery in 1969. This ring is characteristic of his innovative designs incorporating smoothly modulated transitions from thick to thin on different planes around the setting. Literature: Untracht, Oppi Jewelery Concepts and Technology. 1982
