TIAS ECKHOFF FOR GEORG JENSEN PART SET OF FIFTEEN SILVER HANDLED CYPRESS PATTERN KNIVES with post 1945 mark, also stamped STERLING DENMARK, additionally struck with import marks for London 1954 and 1955, comprising seven table knives and eight matching tea knives, of plain form with stainless steel blades (15) Tias Eckhoff was a graduate of the Norwegian School of Arts & Crafts and won many prizes including the Lunning Prize in 1953 and gold medals at the Milan Triennale in 1954 and 1957. In 1954, The Cypress pattern, designed by Eckhoff, won the design competition for the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Georg Jensen Company.
