A rare late 18th century officer's small sword, with silver gilt hilt hallmarked London 1795, the grip bound with silver wire, octagonal ovoid pommel double edge diamond section blade etched 'For my Country and King' and with trophies of arms and royal arms of King George III (scabbard missing), 32inch blade. Note: This is a standard 1796 infantry officer's pattern sword an example in silver gilt with full hallmarks is rare.
