Jacobean Style Silver Chalice by the Hanau maker B. Neresheimer & Sohne / L. Neresheimer & Co., .800 silver content. The cup bearing the Royal Coat of Arms for James I above the motto ""Beati Pacifi,"" the cup with allover chased decoration including a griffin, a stag, and a phoenix bird rising above a crown, the stem decorated with Scottish thistles and the round foot with trailing roses, a hand-engraved inscription encircles the cup and foot and reads ""By Virtuous Living Doth alle honour Rife An euille Life Brings Infamie and shame to follow his Councell that as most Wife Bring endles Glory and Immortal fame. Such as on earth God`s Glory do advance shall ever be had in Remembrance. Eternal Wo shall fale But sure the name of evill Doers shall rott. For every one shall beceive acording to the works donne and unto their Lott.""
