Pair of 19th Century Black Forest Open Armchairs. An exceptional pair of 19th Century, elaborately carved 'Black Forest' open armchairs of finely carved Linden wood. The top carved crests are of interwoven branches with acorns and oak leaves above the oval, padded and upholstered backs which are also surrounded with trailing oak leaves. The frames are lifelike carvings of tree branches and outswept arms and shaped arm supports have manchette elbow rests. Having padded, upholstered seat with a serpentine front and a shaped, carved apron of acorns and oak leaves to continue the theme. Raised on shaped legs, terminating in original castors with unusual horn wheels. Black Forest Ware' is usually adorned with carvings that depict forest animals, forest trees, branches, and leaves. 'Black Forest' carvings were made into all different kinds of furniture and curios. Swiss wood carvers became world-renowned and featured at many international exhibitions. We deliver within the UK, Europe, and Internationally. The logistics team at Lee Wright is highly experienced and fully insured and we promise to deliver your items to you safely and on time. We will pack and deliver your items to your address and place them directly into the room of your choice if you wish.
For Europe and International deliveries, we only work with reputable and trusted shipping handlers and couriers who we know will deliver items safely to your home and will offer a competitive and fair price. UK deliveries will be arranged by our own team and usually operate on a one or two-man delivery. Delivery costs are dependent on each individual item.

NO FUSS RETURNS AND REFUND
All items are fully described and we provide as much information and images as possible. In the rare case that you wish to return an item, we need notification within 48 hours of delivery. We will then refund the cost of the item back to you in full, less transport costs involved. You can do this by emailing mail@leewrightantiques.co.uk or by calling us. The item must then be delivered back to our showroom within 14 days in the exact same condition as it left us.
STORAGE
Should an item not be ready for immediate delivery, we are able to hold stock at our showroom in Leicestershire. Items may be subject to a storage fee where applicable.

Each party to this agreement irrevocably agrees that the courts of England shall have [non-] exclusive jurisdiction to hear, settle and/or determine any dispute, controversy or claim (including any non-contractual dispute, controversy, or claim) arising out of or in connection with this agreement, including any question regarding its existence, validity, formation or termination. For these purposes, each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
