Viewers and potential Bidders are required to register and to provide photographic ID (driving licence/passport) before entering the auction room to view or bid. Upon registration, you will also be allocated a paddle number to bid.
For this auction, the maximum cash or credit/debit card payment in person is £10,000 with supporting photographic ID. Telephone payments cannot exceed £1,000 and the maximum card payment through our website is £5,000; please note that we will not post any items until payment has cleared (three full working days). Invoices in excess of these amounts must be made via bank transfer. Buyers not previously known to us paying by cheque will have to wait 8 working days for full bank clearance before items will be released.
Clients can bid live through our website (3% plus VAT surcharge applies - if you register with thesaleroom first then their 5% plus VAT fees apply even if you go on to bid with us direct), leave commission bids with us or bid live by telephone. You can also bid via thesaleroom.com, which carries a surcharge of 5% plus VAT.
Condition reports and additional images will also be uploaded to our website on a regular basis and upon request.
If you would prefer to bid and view in person, we have put measures in place to ensure social distancing within the salerooms and hand sanitisers are available throughout the Auction Centre. Everyone must wear a mask in the salerooms.
Postage: All items within these sales can be dispatched by special delivery (max value £2,500) for a fixed rate of £12 per parcel, or by ParcelForce for heavier lots (max value £100) – please see our website for full details. Please note that Lacy Scott & Knight DO NOT accept any liability for loss or damage, however caused. For large, high value parcels (over £2,500), fragile items or overseas shipping we STRONGLY RECOMMEND Mail Boxes Etc, tel. 01245 262 527 (email info@mbeessex.com); for larger items such as furniture Alban Shipping, tel.01582 493 099 (email info@albanshipping.co.uk). If you instruct an alternative courier to collect, this charges at £5 per parcel packed and no liability is accepted.

Payment will be taken in full from the registered card on thesaleroom.com on the Friday following this auction, unless payment has already been received. Please see our Terms & Conditions for bank details if you prefer to make a bank transfer.
