Doppelblatt mit 2 Miniaturen.
Marokko, 17. Jh. Darstellung 5,1 x 3,9, Blgr. 7,2 x 13,5 cm.
Das linke Blatt umrahmt mit Blattornamenten einen 'Mihrab'. Mittig hängt eine Lampe, darunter eine Darstellung des 'Minbar'. Die seitliche Inschrift erklärt, daß es sich um einen Ort der Andacht handelt. Auf dem rechten Blatt in der 'Mihrab' Darstellung eine Lampe u. 3 Rechtecke in Gold, die die Gräber von Mohamed und der ersten beiden Kalifen, Abu Bakr und Omar, symbolisieren. - Double page with two miniatures. Left side: One strip in gold, decorated with a tendril of leaves, frames a 'Mihrab'. In the centre hangs a lamp and on the bottom there is a representation of the 'Minbar'. The inscription beside, on a blue background, explains that it is a place of worship. Right side: Inside the 'Mihrab', which contains a lamp, three rectangles in gold symbolize the tombs of the Prophet Mohamed and the first two caliphs, Abu Bakr and Omar.
