An early 18th Century Dessert Canteen of Cutlery with later Flatware, the hinged rectangular box with swan neck carry handle and further brass lock and catch, with dark shagreen covering (right hand side cover lacking), and containing six each octagonal ivory pistol grip handles with silver caps and ferrules, with plain scimitar type blades marked with the dagger mark of the Cutlers Company, and further “Gopsil”; together with matching two tine forks (apparently unmarked); and a further and later set of six Old English pattern Teaspoons, initialled, London 1798, Maker’s Mark IPIP, height 8 ¾”
