Der Maler ländlicher Szenen und Marktansichten wurde 1715/16 Meister in der S. Lukasgilde in Antwerpen, hielt sich vorübergehend in Düsseldorf auf und reiste 1728 dauerhaft nach Italien. Auf der Rückreise soll er 1734 in Rennes verstorben sein.
