Second half 19th century, signed lower right ``A. Scherf`` and ``nach N. Sichel`` (Nathaniel Sichel 1843 - 1907 German), titled verso ``Fille de l`etranger d`apres N. Sichel``, marked verso with impressed ``KPM`` and scepter mark and various ciphers, further impressed ``138`` and ``237``, rectangular, depicting a brunette beauty holding a lute, within a giltwood frame, overall: 12`` H x 9`` W; plaque size 9.75`` H x 6.25`` W, est: $2000/3000
Provenance: Property of a Private Southern California Collection. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks and scratches commensurate with age, including a 2``-long scratch near top edge.
