ROOVERS "PUSS AND BOOTS" FORTUNE TELLER MACHINE.
A classic mechanical fortune telling device featuring the beloved fairy tale figure Puss in Boots. When a coin is placed in the slot and the handle on the right side of the machine is pulled, a series of motions occur. The cat dips his head, his arm holding a dustpan style tray receives a card from the vendor while his right hand, which holds a cane, lifts the lid of the wicker basket, and his body turns to drop your fortune from his tray, all while the cat`s head turns and nods. An absolutely incredible amusement device contained within an oak cabinet with glass panels on three sides. The machine itself sits upon four iron legs and the overall appearance is quite pleasing to not only collectors of coin operated machines, but the public at large. According to the consignor, while an original, it was professionally restored by Mike Gorski to his exacting standards. SIZE: 76" h x 16" d x 16" w. CONDITION: Overall very fine, lacking wooden paneled door to card vendor on right side of machine. Also lacking small metal (6" x 6") insert panel on rear of machine as well. 1-12736
