This oil painting shows a scene at a tavern. People’s heads and their clothes are only indicated. THere are two tables in the foreground and a counter behind them, where drinks are sold. The expressionist painting is mostly executed in shades of brown and green.

There is a monogram in ligature on verso ‘RB’, possibly the artist’s signature. The painting is in good condition with slight signs of age-related wear and use. The surface shows a varnish coat, which is slightly scratched; small damaged area near the upper edge, centre. The gold and bronze coloured frame shows minimal loss of colour and material. The piece measures 27.5 x 32.2 cm framed; 19 x 24 cm (panel). There is a printed attribution and artist details on verso. According to the label the painting was made by Ricardo Brugada y Panizo (1867-1919), but this could not be verified.

Dieses Ölgemälde stellt eine Wirtshausszene dar. Köpfe und Kleidung der Personen sind nur vage angedeutet. Hinter den zwei Tischen im Vordergrund ist ein Tresen für den Ausschank sichtbar. Das Gemälde ist überwiegend in Braun- und Grüntönen gehalten und in expressionistischer Manier ausgeführt.

Rückseitig befindet sich ein ligiertes Monogramm „RB“, möglicherweise die Künstlersignatur. Das Gemälde ist in einem guten Zustand mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren. Die Farboberfläche ist gefirnist und partiell etwas zerkratzt; eine kleine Schadstelle befindet sich am oberen Rand in der Mitte. Der gold- und bronzefarbene Holzrahmen zeigt minimale Farb- und Materialverluste. Die gerahmten Gesamtmaße betragen 27,5 x 32,2 cm. Die Holzplatte misst 19 x 24 cm. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich gedruckte Informationen zu Werk und Künstler. Die Zuschreibung an Ricardo Brugada y Panizo (1867-1919) kann jedoch nicht aufrechterhalten werden.
