A 60-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK BOX-LOCK TAP-ACTION PISTOL SIGNED THOMAS, last quarter of the 18th century, 9 1/2in. overall, with side-by-side turn-off barrels numbered '1' and '2', border engraved signed action with thumb-piece for the cut-off on the left side, border engraved sliding trigger-guard safety-catch, flat-sided figured walnut butt, white metal escutcheon (some pitting and discolouration throughout), private Birmingham proof marks.
