An Officer's spontoon; Prussia, 1728-1732 .Iron blade etched on both sides with a crowned monogram 'FWR' over a ribbon reading 'Regiment Laujardiere' and the inscription; Prussia, 1728-1732 .Iron blade etched on both sides with a crowned monogram 'FWR' over a ribbon reading 'Regiment Laujardiere' and the inscription 'Potzdam' at the forte of the blade. Quillons and round socket. Original white lacquered shaft with the original shoe. Length with socket 37.5 cm. Original, complete side straps. From 1728-1732, the Infantry Regiment No. 20 bore the name of its commander Laujardiere. The iron parts clearly pitted. In completely original condition, an extraordinarily rare piece from the reign of the Soldier King. Euro 2.000
