Welsby, Kearsley, nr Manchester' having Roman hour numerals, gold spade hands, with stopwatch seconds to the outer aspect numbered 0 – 300 set via a slide to the case side, the movement having a lever escapement with a fully engraved backcock and bridge and engraved with a repeat of the maker's name along with the serial number '68715', the case stamped inside with the hallmark for silver, Chester, 1892 with a repeat of the serial number, diameter 56mm. * Jonathan Welsby is recorded as working near Manchester from 1851
