A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded cottage longcase clock, early 19th century, the ogive cornice above a harewood and mahogany inlaid frieze over a square glazed trunk door flanked by fluted brass capped pilasters enclosing a 12" square enamel dial, later painted with roman numerals date aperture and marked H Banister, Lichfield 30 hour movement striking on a bell, bell lacking, above a trunk door with concave top corners flanked by fluted quarter pilasters over an ogive moulding and raised base board and on later plinth, distressed, 79 in (200.66 cm) high
