A pair of Chinese porcelain saucers, Republic period, each decorated in famille rose enamels with blossoming branches, the undersides with blossoming branches and bats underglazed blue seal mark Xiezhu Zhuren zao (Made by the Master of Wind Music) within a ‘European green’ border each saucer 13cm in fitted case (2) See Wilson, M. Rare Marks on Chinese Ceramics V & A Publications 1999 page 164 for a discussion of this mark. Later wares display courser characteristics than the original Daoguang examples and as such are dated to the Republican period (1911-1937)
