A George III oak mahogany crossbanded and boxwood inlaid longcase clock, late 18th/early 19th century, the broken scroll pediment centred by a boxwood urn motif over an arched door flanked by reeded gilt brass pilasters and enclosing 14" white painted arched enamel dial marked 'Artinstall? Drayton' with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture painted with flowers to the corners and with rolling moon phase in the arch painted with an English frigate and country cottage, eight-day movement striking on a bell over a three-quarter length trunk door with boxwood and harewood conche shell motif flanked by reeded brass capped quarter pilasters over a conforming base board and bracket feet, distressed, 83" high
