A mahogany longcase clock, early 19th century, the arched glazed hood with shaped cresting and flanked by fluted brass capped pilasters enclosing a 13" white painted enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and marked Thomas, Ilfracombe, the arch painted with a view of Raby Castle, the corners painted with castle ruins, eight day movement striking on a bell above a three quarter length crossbanded trunk door between canted angles and over an ogive moulding, the crossbanded figured base board raised on shaped bracket feet, distressed, 86 in (218.44 cm) high
