A Regency mahogany and ebony strung longcase clock, Scottish or North country, circa 1810, the broken scroll swan neck pediment above a round glazed door flanked by fluted corinthian columns enclosing a 13" white painted enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date dial, eight day movement striking on a bell, above a rectangular trunk door between canted angles and over an ogive moulding and crossbanded base board raised on a later plinth, 85 in (215.9 cm) high
