An 18th century Meissen teapot and cover, with bird's head spout and leaf capped wishbone handle with ozier patterned border, painted with fruit, insects and butterflies in coloured enamels and gilding, crossed swords in underglaze blue, incised IV in Roman numerals, circa 1750, mouth of spout chipped and repaired, but with no loss, minor chip to leaf of flower head finial on cover, 4.25in high.
