A large early 20th Century Art Nouveau vase designed by Frederick Carder and probably cut by Orchard for Stevens & Williams circa 1901. The low shouldered body rising to a slender collar with swollen upper rim, cased in green over rose and intaglio cut with sinuous flowering poppies with scrolling foliage and buds, height 32 cm. Ref - The original art work for this vase is published in 20th Century British Glass by Charles Hajdamach and shows the illustration monogrammed FC 1901. This illustration matches Stevens & Williams pattern number 27810 registered on the 12th November 1901. ILLUSTRATED
