A 19th Century Stourbridge clear crystal claret jug possibly by Richardson, the footed swollen ovoid form rising to a facet cut neck and integral spout, the body decorated with an engraved oasis scene with a figure seated before a tent with two camels all before palm trees. The body mounted with a silver gilt arched and reeded handles with vine leaf supports to the body and around the neck, the mounts stamped J & N Creswick & Co, Birmingham 1854, height 32 cms.
