Early 20th century silver teapot, the oval body part fluted with conforming hinged lid, with ebonised knop and handle. Hallmarked Birmingham 1913. Length including handle and spout measures 11inches (28cm), weight 20.06 ozt (623.8 grams).

Condition: There are general surface marks, scratches and wear in keeping with the age of the item. The edge of the spout feels a little rough and there is a small dent. The ebonised part of the handle is loose in the silver mounts and there is a chip to one end. The inside of the lid is clearly hallmarked but it does not sit properly as it is slightly warped. There is also some damage to the ebonised knop. The hallmark on the teapot is rubbed but still legible. The maker`s mark is badly rubbed and illegible. There are areas of collected polish.
