A 1940's hinged silver cigarette box of plain rectangular form with wooden interior with later added material lining. Length measures 5 3/4 inches (15cm), gross weight 11.44ozt (355.9gms). Hallmarked W. Base Birmingham 1945.
The cigarette box is in reasonably good condition. There are surface scratches and areas of discolouration to the whole, as well as some dents and a few small notches to the edges. The hinge works well but the lid does not close entirely. The velvet interior is a little worn and dirty, but otherwise in good condition. The underside of the box is very dirty. The hallmarks are rubbed but clearly legible.
