A pair of silver plated candlesticks of tiered appearance with square borders embossed with flora

A pair of silver plated candlesticks of tiered appearance with square borders embossed with floral scrolls each raised on a fluted frilled square footed base and detachable sconces. Each measures 11ins (27.5cm) high, marked to the base Viners Ltd. The candlesticks have both got a number of small surface scratches from general wear and tear. One of them has a couple of scuffs and a more serious scratch on the stem. Both have large amounts of polish built up, especially around the embossed pattern and inside the neck. The plating has worn off on the patterns, letting the copper show through. The sconces are both quite loose. Both of the bases are marked 'Reproduction of Old Sheffield Plate, Viners Ltd. made in Sheffield England, E.P. on Copper'.
